Dr. Shin'chi Konomi
|
Shin'ichi is a post-doctoral researcher in computer science. He is engaged in several projects including
i-LAND to realize user interfaces and data management
mechanisms for the roomwareŽ-environments. Recently he is involved
in the realization of an advanced Passage mechanism.
His research interests include database view mechanisms, object-oriented databases, collaborative environments,
augmented reality, distributed multidatabase systems, hypermedia, visualization, and other technologies for flexible,
efficient and user-friendly interaction with various types of data.
Before joining the AMBIENTE group in 1997, he was a research associate in Department of Information Science at
Kyoto University.
He is a member of ACM (Association for Computing Machinery)
and IPSJ (Information Processing Society of Japan).
