Richard Etter received a Dipl.-Inform. (FH) in computer science from
Furtwangen University of Applied Sciences. Richard earned his degree in
2005 with his diploma thesis 'Melodious Walkabout - implicit navigation
with contextualized audio contents' while working at Fraunhofer
Institute of Applied Information Technology. Melodious Walkabout is a
GPS-based auditory navigation system that guides users with their
personal music.
At Fraunhofer IPSI, Richard worked in the field of wearable technology and
pervasive computing. He focused on designing and developing smart
artifacts and pervasive services in the area of smart homes and offices.
